Genesys Group Project Team by Role	Responsibilities
Client Executive Sponsorship	Identify and set the business priorities, vision, and scope for the product or service being deployed. Establish and sustain the business case for the project. Responsible for high-level project communication to other client management members such as project status, benefits scheduled milestones.
Client Project Management	Ensure that business expectations are articulated and understood by the project team and that the functional specifications respond to business priorities. Coordinate with the Genesys Group Project Manager all clients’ team member activities and manage the overall project interaction with other client initiatives.
Genesys Group Project Manager	Facilitates the day-to-day coordination required to deliver the product or service in a manner consistent with the project vision, scope, and organizational goals. Coordinate activities of on-site project staff including tasks assigned, status reports and managing to the project plan. Leads business process re-engineering efforts and requirements definition.
Technical Manager	Drives the critical technical decisions necessary to develop the right solution in a timely manner. Creates the functional specification, which serves as a tool for making decisions about how the solution will be designed and implemented. Responsible for solution design.
Development and Implementation	Develops solutions Physical installation, set-up, and configuration of hardware and software for the pilot test as well as the production roll out. Fix bugs and perform problem resolution.
Testing	Responsible for the testing plan, schedule, and any necessary testing tools. Ensures overall quality of the deployed technology, which could be done through hardware, software, applications, regression, and integration testing. Ensures all issues are known before the release of the product or service.
Deployment Planning	Ensures smooth roll out to the users, physical development and installation, and transition to the operations and support groups. Develop plans by coordinating with the organization’s operational and support groups. Plan for rolling out, installing, and supporting the operational systems for both the pilot and full-scale deployment.
Training	Develop training plan, material, and schedule. Conduct or Coordinate training for technical staff and users.

It is important that when putting together a team, all these roles should be covered for every project. However, it doesn’t mean that every project has eight team members, but rather these are logical roles. Depending on the project, one person could perform combined roles or on a large project, several team members may be required for one role. Getting these roles and responsibilities assigned to the team is paramount in reducing risk and delivering a successful project.
